Three Nagpur Municipal Corporation schools in Pardi, Punapur, Bharatwada, Bhandewadi area of East Nagpur will be developed as “Model Schoolâ€.
The project will be headed by Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL). Rs 2 crore has also been sanctioned for the School development project.
It has been decided that Sant Kabir Hindi Primary School, Maharani Laxmi Bai Marathi Primary School, and Bharatwada Marathi Primary School will be developed and renovated with the latest equipment which will help students in their education.
The students will get an e-library facility, a tab, and a computer lab facility will be provided under the project. A clean drinking water system will be installed in the school.
The schools will also have rainwater harvesting, solar rooftop, and various other facilities will be provided to the students of the school in a smart manner.
Separate toilets will be constructed for boys, girls, and teachers. A shed will be installed for student parking, flooring and waterproofing of the building will also be done by the administration.
Along with this, the schools will have a playground for students. A provision of Rs. 10 crores for the project has been assigned out of which Rs. 2 crore will be used to renovate the schools.
These works will be completed in collaboration with the Smart City and the Education Department. Further maintenance and repair will be done by the education department of the corporation.
