Police conducted raid at a hookah parlour operating in a restaurant situated on VNIT College Road under the jurisdiction of Bajaj Nagar police station.
Bajaj Nagar police station officer recieved a tip off that a hookah parlour is running in a restaurant situated above the branch of Dharampeth Mahila Bank in Bajaj Nagar.
Police raided the spot and found that the owner of the restaurant Kirti Shyamrao Vimalkar alias Navin Nathaniyal and manager Gajanan Sharma were serving hookah and flavoured tobacco to customers.
Three male and one female customer were present at the parlour during the raid. Police seized articles worth 5,000 including hookah pot and flavoured tobacco.
