In an effort to use novel methods to welcome the students, the direction of physical distance was ignored.
Although the teachers are required to have completed two doses of Corona vaccine, they are sure to come in close contact with a large number of students.
Offering flowers was another manner by which the students were welcomed to the schools. The students, who have been instructed not to have physical contact with others, had it with their teacher right at the entrance to the school.
The schools in Maharashtra have been allowed to reopen from Monday. Although physical attendance is not compulsory, the students are more keen, than teachers for attending the school. Not only school teachers, but School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, several other ministers, legislators and political leaders have shown interest in welcoming the students on the first day of reopening of schools.
The directions, mainly of maintaining physical distance, has been blatantly violated in the process.
