‘Clinical Electrophysiology Unit To Provide Patient Services at AIIMS, Nagpur’

 The Department of Physiology, AIIMS Nagpur will provide patient services in the ‘Clinical Electrophysiology Unit’. The services provided will be Electromyography (EMG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and Evoked Potentials (VEP, BERA, MRCP & P300).

On this occasion, two days ‘hands on workshop series’ has been organized under the patronship of Maj Gen. (Dr.) Vibha Dutta SM, Director and CEO, AIIMS Nagpur. The workshops on ‘Training and Testing for Clinical Electrophysiology’ are scheduled to be conducted on 25/11/2021 and 26/11/2021 in the hybrid mode.

The first workshop on 25/11/2021 is on ‘Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)’ and the second workshop on 26/11/2021 is on ‘Basics of Clinical Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP)’. Both the workshops include lectures, demonstration, hands on training and case discussion.

Dr Santosh Wakode, Professor, Dept of Physiology, AIIMS Bhopal and Dr Vinit Wankhede, Clinical Neurophysiologist, Kids Neuro Clinic and Child Rehabilitation Centre, Dhantoli, Nagpur will grace the occasion as invited speakers. Dr Mrunal Phatak, Professor and Head, Dept of Physiology, AIIMS Nagpur is the Chairperson for this event.
