There is a possibility of involving some more persons and increasing amount in the stationery scam occurred in the Health Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) during Coronavirus pandemic with thorough investigation in it, sources said.
An FIR has been registered at Sadar Police Station. The cops also conducted enquiry into the case and arrested four persons in the scam involving an amount of Rs 67 lakhs. They first arrested two suppliers and then Auditor and Clerk on Sunday. Manohar Sakore and his relatives supply stationery materials to various department in the NMC. Dr Sanjay Chilkar, health Officer, had detected that the bills were paid without supplying the materials during pandemic period.
Further investigations would reveal some more striking things.
