ST bus service is improving day by day with more drivers, conductors and employees jointing their duties. MSRTC operated 14 buses on Tuesday with 42 trips covering a distance of 2,273 km with one driver and two conductors resuming the duties.
Their counterparts in Maharashtra are on indefinite strike even after over one month to press the demand for merger of MSRTC with the government. The authorities feel that some more employees would join their duties from Wednesday onwards. The officers guided the workers in depots to convince them bout joining the duties.
The buses carried 1513 passengers, including students, in the district.
