On late-night train rides, many passengers talk loudly. They disturb other passengers’ sleep by playing loud music on their cellphones. For such passengers, the Railway Board has now enacted additional guidelines.
After 10 p.m., new rules apply. As per Railway Board rules, such travellers will no longer be able to do so. The TTES on board and the night patrol police have been informed of the new restrictions, and passengers who break them will face consequences, according to railway officials.
TTES and railway police on duty in trains, according to sources, would be subject to the rules. Commuters will be able to sleep soundly at night as a result.
