The famous shobha yatra of Shriram being taken out by Shriram Janmotsava Shobha Yatra Aayojan Samiti has been suspended consecutively for the third year this year.
The shobha yatra was scheduled to be taken out on April 10 on the occasion of Shriram Navami. However, the samiti finally dropped the idea in view of possible spread of corona virus.
Punit Poddar of Shri Poddareshwar Ram Mandir said on Sunday that the government had not removed relaxations fully. Still confusion prevailed and the samiti decided to suspend the shobha yatra.
The yatra, which is special feature of the city, completed 53 years in 2019. It could not be taken out during the past two years due to coronavirus pandemic. And now this is the third year.
The mandir is celebrating its centenary next year.
