Two lovers preferred to go to a secluded place in jungle near Usegaon in Wadsa tehsil to pass some time in the company of nature. They were promising each other to live together happily for the whole life, what may come. But little they did know that their dreams would be shattered within no time.
And this time, it was a tiger who turned their enemy. The beast pounced on the boy, Ajit Someshwar Nakade (21), a resident of Chop (Koregaon) from behind and killed him on the spot on Tuesday evening. The tiger also injured the girl seriously and she has been admitted to the District Hospital for treatment.
It is reported that the carnivore dragged body of Ajit to some distance towards jungle. Upon getting information through villagers, forest officials and people rushed to the spot. They combed the area for around two hours and then located the body in forest. Forestmen conducted ‘panchnaama’ on the spot and sent the body for post mortem.
It is reported that the villagers know that there is presence of the tiger in the area. Even boards to take precautions have also been displayed but Ajit parked his vehicle and took the girl in the jungle area. And then the tragic incident occurred. Forestmen are making further investigation into the case.
