There appears to be reducing trend in day temperature as Nagpur registered 42.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday as against yesterday’s 43.3 degrees C. The reduction is giving somewhat relief to the citizens already boiled during hot temperature in the recent past.
Wardha was the hottest place by recording 43.0 degrees C today while seven districts registering temperature in between 42 degrees C and 43 degrees C. They are: Akola – 42.4, Amravati – 42.2, Chandrapur – 42.0, Gondia – 42.5, Washim – 42.0, Yavatmal – 42.5 and of course Nagpur – 42.6.
Buldana registered lowest temperature at 39.2 while the temperature at Gadchiroli was 40.4. The figure of Brahmapuri was not made available till filing report.
In the meantime, Indian Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at isolated places in Chandrapur and Gadchiroli on June 1.
