Decreasing trend in maximum day temperature is being observed all over Vidarbha. Gondia recorded higest temperature at 41.6 degrees Celsius while Amravati has recorded minimum figure at 37.0 degrees C on Saturday. Though met Office has published Buldana’s temperature figure at 22.9 degrees C, experts feel it could be a printing mistake.
Decrease in the temperature figures is an indication in climate change and due to advancement of monsoon. Mumbai, Western Maharashtra and other places experienced rains. Central Maharashtra is likely to get rains tomorrow. The blowing of winds in this part also indicates about possible rains.
Following are the temperature figures in C at other places in Vidarbha today: Nagpur – 41.0, Akola – 401, Brahmapuri – 41.0, Chandrapur -37.8, Gadchiroli – 38.2, Wardha – 41.5, Yavatmal – 39.5. Washim figure is not available so far.
The Met Office has issued warning that thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at isolated places in Vidarbha till June 15.
