The special session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly will be held on July 3 and 4.
The session has been deferred by a day. Earlier it was to be held on July 2. On July 3 the Speaker of the House will be elected. The last date for filing nomination for the post is July 2, up to 12 noon. The session probably has been deferred for one day, as the post of the presiding officer is vacant.
The new Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will prove their majority on July 3.
