A portion of the foot over-bridge on Ballarshah Railway Station, in Chandrapur district, collapsed on Sunday. The passengers moving from platform number 1 to 4 to catch Kazipeth-Pune Express train collapsed on the railway track. The foot over-bridge is about 60 feet high.
About 20 people collapsed on the railway track. Four of the injured are reported to be serious. The rescue operations are in progress at the railway station.
A portion in the middle of the over-bridge collapsed when the passengers were crossing the track. The injured have been shifted to a hospital. Details of the accident were awaited.
