Ashrita Mahila Mandal (Nagpur Mahila Club)’s Umang Ke Rang (Talent show by the Specially abled & Under-Privileged)

Ashrita Mahila Mandal (Nagpur Mahila Club), a prestigious organisation working for the empowerment of Women & Children for last twenty years  organised an unique annual Talent Show called “Umang Ke Rang” on 26th November at Niyogi Hall, LAD College, Shankar Nagar .

The prime motto of this very unique  event is to increase social inclusion of the people with disabilities by bringing to stage various forms of cultural expressions performed by people with disabilities, in order to show  the public that people with disabilities have capacity in cultural practice.

And to increase personal confidence and empower people with Disabilities.  

Around 140 specially abled including Intellectually Challenged from SVK Shikshan Sanstha and other organizations,

Visually Challenged from different Blind Schools, Deaf & Dumb school from Saoner, Physically Challenged  enthralled audience with their performances like Fashion show, Solo and group dances, Solo and group singing, and played musical instruments.

This event is organised in association with University Women’s Association Nagpur (UWAN), LAD College, CRC Nagpur and Federation of Special Care Dentistry.

Mrs.Vilasini Nair, President, Aashrita Mahila Mandal  rendered a welcome note while Dr.Harsha Jharia,CAO,LAD College and Dr.Pathak, President, UWAN were prominently present.

 Chief Guest, Dr Urmila Kshirsagar, Director, Niramay Bahu Uddeshiya Sanstha, Nagpur 

 enlightened the audience with her valuable words.

Guest of honour,  Mr Jaisingh K Chouhan, Director, Ranjana Group of Industries Pvt Ltd  shared his life experiences  as a successful Divyang and motivated the participants.

 Mrs Gayathri Vatsalya, President, SVK Shikshan Sanstha and Dr Dini Menon, Secretary, and team Ashrita  Mahila Mandal successfully co-ordinated the programme.

Thelivenagpur and Lokmat Times were the Media Partners.

Oral care kits were distributed by Federation of Special Care Dentistry ( FSCD)

All the participants were presented with Gifts, Certificates and Snack boxes.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Isha Verma and Anita Kaul Bose,Vice President, Aashrita Mahila Mandal.

Parents,teachers and general public attended the event in large numbers and applauded the Participants.
