Birendra Saraf, a senior lawyer’s name has been approved by The Maharashtra cabinet as the new Advocate General of the state, an official said on Wednesday.
Ashutosh Kumbhakoni resigned as the Advocate General in the cabinet on Tuesday.
Kumbhakoni has been in the post since 2017. He was appointed by Devendra Fadnavis during his tenure as chief minister.
