Raman Science Centre & Planetarium, Nagpur is organizing a special observation program from January 24 to 31, 2023 for the astronomy lovers at 05.00 pm. During this program a special Planetarium as well as SOS show will be organized by the center at 05.00 pm and 05.30 pm respectively. Afterwards the Visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy the sight of these enthralling planets.
The visitors will be taken to the actual observation of the eclipse through 11 inches Schmidt Cassegrain telescope. The interested visitors and students in particular may take the advantage of this opportunity in large numbers. A package of Rs. 110/- is applicable for this. The timings for this observation will be from 05.00 pm to 07.00 pm. Tickets for this events will be available on first come first serve basis. The sky observation programme is weather permitted.
The night sky tonight and on any clear night offers an ever-changing display of fascinating objects you can see, from stars and constellations to bright planets, often the moon, and sometimes special events like meteor showers. The sky gazers will have special treat throughout this month as, they can see four planets as darkness falls: Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter. Also the moon will be showcasing its beautiful phases during this time.
