Although the Nagpur-Chhindwara and Chhindwara-Nagpur railway lines are now broad gauge, the number of trains has decreased. Passengers are being adversely affected as a result, and more trains on this route are being demanded.
Previously, the Itwari-Chhindwara and Chhindwara-Nagpur railway routes were meter gauged. There were six rounds of the trains. The railway ministry covered the Nagpur-Chhindwara railway route into broad gauge due to a large number of passengers on this railway route connecting two states – Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
The train’s speed has increased while the travel time has decreased.
Many cities and villages along the Nagpur-Chhindwara route have railway stations. Thousands of people travel. Nonetheless, many people are unable to travel because there are only two trains in the morning and evening.
The remaining people must rely on other modes of transportation, such as buses and taxis, which are significantly more expensive than the train. As a result of the inconvenience, they are now demanding that more trains run along the route.
