Amravati: The winter examination of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University may now not happen on time. The exams have been postponed following the boycott call by the Maharashtra State University and College Servants Joint Works Committee.
The examinations to be held on 3rd and 4th February have been cancelled. Also, due to the convocation, the examinations to be held on February 23 have been postponed. However the authorities have not made the dates clear for the said examinations. According to Monali Tote Patil, director in-charge of University Examination and Evaluation Board, according to the new change, the papers to be held on February 23 will now start from March 10.
According to the new changes made in the time table, the exam to be held on February 23 will be held on March 10. MCA Semester 2 (CGS) First Year This exam will be held on March 1 instead of February 20. Similarly, LLB Semester 1 (five years), L.L.B. Semester 1 (Three Years), B.Pharm Semester-1 (CBSS), M.Pharm Semester-1 (CBSS), B.E.Semester-1 & 2 (CBCS), B.Tech. Semester-1 & 2 (CBCS) (Chemical Technology & FPOPC) and B.Arch Semester-1 (CBCS), B.Arch. Semester-1 and 2 (CBCS) will start from March 13 instead of February 20. There has been no change in the center and time of the examination.
Why the sudden change
Due to the convocation ceremony, a big question is being raised regarding this decision of the university to postpone the examinations. In such a situation, what is the reason behind organizing the function on the day of examination remains unclear as the winter exams are already delayed. The delay in winter exams will have a direct impact on summer exams. Despite this why the ceremony was announced on the day of the examination itself is not clear.
