Under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, ZP Chief Executive Officer Saumya Sharma, under the guidance of Education Officer Rohini Kumbhar, the idea of motivational cum study tour for ZP school students has been conceived. The selected students shall visit Gujarat and experience the thrill of visiting places such as the Statue of Unity, Akshardham temple, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Sabarmati, and other places of academic as well as historical significance. A study tour has been organised for a group of 20 students from Chankapur and Thugaon Nipani ZP schools as per the norms of the Nagpur district administration and the group is supposed to visit places of historical and academic significance. All the students selected for this initiative along with the group leader Pramod Wankhede from the education department and other teachers left on Wednesday by Prerna Express. Shubham Jain, President of Round Table India Nagpur Tigers Round Table 299, Vice President Nishant Yaduka, Secretary Niraj Agrawal, Shashank Agrawal and Liaison chief Amit Poddar provided blazers, caps, free of cost to all the children from the CSR fund. The students’ proud parents said that educational institutions run by the Zilla Parishad are usually perceived to be lacking in facilities but now these have improved by leaps and bounds. They are practically getting the ambience of an English medium school. School teachers, Principals are always lively and are constantly rendering contribution in the educational sphere by implementing various innovative schemes. The opportunity is indeed a golden one for some students from ordinary backgrounds. Many shall get to sit in a train for the first time. Their experience in the aftermath of visiting such important places in the country will be unforgettable indeed. Students, teachers and parents are being appreciated locally for rendering their contribution in the initiative.
