Six people were killed while seven others were seriously injured after their speeding car overturned on the Samruddhi Expressway in Buldhana district. The incident took place near Shivni Pisa village in Lonar tehsil at around 8 am.
According to police, four occupants of the car died on the spot while two died during treatment. The car, with 13 occupants, was on its way from Chhatrapati Sambhaji- nagar to Shegaon here, Buldhana Superintendent of Police Sarang Awhad said. “The driver of the car lost control, after which the vehicle hit a road barrier and overturned. Six of the car’s occupants, comprising a man, four women and a girl, have died. The injured have been shifted to Chhatrapati Samb- hajinagar for treatment,” he said.

The deceased were identified as Haisabai Bharat Barve (65), Shraddha Suresh Barve (28), Kiran Rajendra Borude (28), Pramila Rajendra Borude (52), Bhagyashree Kiran Bo- rude (25) and Janhvi Suresh Barve (11), all residents of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Among the injured are car driver Suresh Bharat Barve (35), Namrata Ravindra Barve (32), Indra Ravindra Barve (12), Saimya Ravindra Barve (4), Jatin Suresh Barve (4),
Vaishnavi Sunil Gaikwad (9) and Yash Ravindra Barve (10) etc.
