The death toll in the Shivshahi bus accident in Maharashtra’s Gondia district has gone up to 15. About 25 other passengers were injured in the accident.
The Gondia-destined bus (MH 09 EM 1273) from Bhandara veered off the road in an effort to save a motorcyclist and rolled on the roadside. Ten passengers died on the spot. The seriously injured passengers were rushed to a hospital in the region. The bus met with the accident between Khajari and Dawwa villages in Sadak Arjuni tehsil of Gondia district. The bus driver fled the spot after the accident.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced a financial help of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the deceased. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis condoled the deaths
