The draw for admissions under Right to Education Act (RTE) will be held online on April 5, at 11 am at the Maharashtra State Council for Educational Research and Training, Pune.
The process of the draw will be shown through video conferencing, informed Sharad Gosavi, Education Director (Primary).
There are 663 schools in Nagpur where students can be admitted under RTE on 6,577 seats for which 36,492 students applied. The department has started the process of removing duplicate applications which is done online.
Till Monday, the number of applications remained 36,409. The final number will be announced on Tuesday. The backward and deprived children are to be admitted under 25% quota under section 12 (1)(C) of RTE Act, 2009 in self- financed, private unaided and non-minority in Standard 1 or in pre-primary class.
