Anjali Madavi and Akanksha Soudia, both from Nagpur have been selected in the Maharashtra team in the 19-year age category for National School Athletics Championship to be held in Bhopal. Both were selected on the basis of their performance in the state level school competition held in Pune in January.
Anjali, a student of SB City College, had won a silver medal in the 400m hurdles race at Pune. She will compete in the 400m hurdles race in Bhopal. Akanksha, a student of Bhagwati Girls High School had to settle for fourth place in the 400m race. On this basis she race. On this basis she was selected for the 4- 400m relay race.
Akanksha had won a bronze medal in the 600m race in the 14-year age group at Sangrur in 2019. Both are players of the new Maharashtra Krida Mandal.
Dr Sanjay Chaudhary, Vinod Pachghare and others congratulated both the athletes.
