NTPC Mouda celebrated the International Day of Yoga on Wednesday at the Utkarsh Nagar Township Premises. Shri A K Manohar, HOP Mouda, inaugurated the event. The festivities included a demonstration of various yoga postures and asanas by a Patanjali Yoga instructor. Participants were educated about the significance of incorporating yoga into their daily lives, highlighting its preventive benefits against diseases and its promotion of a healthy lifestyle. An online quiz competition was organized to enhance general knowledge about yoga among employees.
To raise awareness about yoga’s importance among villagers, a Nukkad Natak (street play) was organized, revolving around the theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which aligns with this year’s Yoga Day celebrations.
Bhavans NTPC Vidya Mandir students successfully conducted a yoga session with the participation of approximately 400 children. HOP Mouda encouraged the students to embrace yoga as a part of their lifestyle, and a Nukkad Natak was performed to engage the students in a fun and informative manner.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) also organized a yoga activity session for their personnel to promote physical fitness and agility.
Shri Subhashish Guha, General Manager (O&M), Shri BSV Bhaskar, General Manager (TS), Shri S R Sahoo, Head of HR, DC CISF, union and association representatives, as well as employees and their family members, attended the event.
