The core area of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, known as the home of tigers, reopened for tourism on Wednesday on Oct 2. On the very first day, Sachin Tendulkar, renowned as the God of Cricket and former captain of the Indian cricket team, went on a safari in Tadoba with his family.
On Wednesday morning, Tendulkar, along with his family and some friends, went on a safari through Kolara Gate. During this time, they spotted the tiger known as Chhoti Tara and other wildlife. On Thursday morning, Sachin embarked on another safari in the Navegaon area to catch a glimpse of Chhota Matka, the king of Tadoba.
During this safari, they encountered Chandni, a tigress, along with other wildlife and the beautiful environment of the forest. Sachin Tendulkar has always been passionate about visiting Tadoba and usually makes a trip once or twice a year with his family and friends.
This time, Sachin was particularly excited to catch a glimpse of Chhota Matka, who has become quite popular and is the main attraction of Tadoba. Despite two consecutive days of safari, Sachin was unable to see Chhota Matka, though he did spot other tigers in the reserve.
During the safari, Sachin Tendulkar also took photos with forest officers and tourists, along with the team from “Deccan Drifts.” This information was provided by Piyush Akre and Kanchan Petkar, key wildlife experts from “Deccan Drifts.”
