The Department of Applied Chemistry at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur, in collaboration with CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur, recently organized a national-level one-week online Short-Term Training Programme (STTP) on “Green Hydrogen: Potential, Challenges, and Applications.”
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Uday Waghe, Principal of YCCE. Dr. Prajakta Waghe, the Convener and Head of the Applied Chemistry Department, provided an overview and concluded the programme. The event was coordinated by Dr. Megha Sawangikar, with proceedings conducted by Sanjivani Panditkar.
Renowned experts shared their insights during the programme. Speakers included Dr. N. Labhsetwar and Dr. R. Biniwale from CSIR-NEERI Nagpur, Dr. G. Saravanan from CSIR-NEERI Madras Complex, Chennai, Dr. A. Deshmukh from RTMNU Nagpur, Dr. A. Wankhede from VNIT Nagpur, and Dr. P. Mangrulkar from Ramdeobaba University Nagpur. Topics discussed ranged from the fundamentals of green hydrogen to advanced electrolysis technologies, hydrogen storage solutions, and policy frameworks for green hydrogen adoption.
Co-Coordinator Dr. Anita Shekhawat and the organizing committee faculty worked diligently to ensure the success of this programme.
