A major mishap was prevented on Monday afternoon when a moving four-wheeler caught fire on Seminary Hills Road near Japanese Garden Square. Officials from Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) fire and emergency services confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported.
Fire officials said they received a distress call at around 1:55 pm on Monday about a car fire involving vehicle MH49BK1000. A fire tender from the Civil Lines fire station was dispatched, but by the time firefighters arrived, the blaze had already been brought under control and extinguished.
Only the rear tyres of the car were damaged in the fire. The vehicle was driven by Deepak Gute. Officials said the cause of the fire remains unknown.
