After setting world records in limbo skating, Nagpur’s talented skater Shrishti Dharmendra Sharma is now aiming for another milestone. The 20-year-old successfully attempted a new record under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records.
The record attempt was organized by Siddhi Roller Skating Academy at Sai Dham City, Umred. Shrishti aimed to break her own record for the fastest time to limbo skate under descending poles over 50 meters. She previously set the record at 9.59 seconds on December 18, 2023, in Milan, Italy. This time, she surpassed it in her first attempt, completing the feat in just 7.467 seconds, making history once again.
As Shrishti glided under the bars in her first attempt, the crowd, including children, parents, and dignitaries, erupted in celebration. She clocked 7.631 seconds in her second attempt and 7.597 seconds in her third.
Her record-breaking time of 7.467 seconds for the fastest limbo skate under descending poles over 50 metres will be uploaded to the Guinness World Records website. The official confirmation is expected within three months after verification.
Several dignitaries were present to witness the achievement, including Vidyasagar Chauhan (SDO, Umred Tehsil), Pankaj Gaidhane (Sarpanch, Waigaon Ghoturli), Ranjan Katpatal (Senior Manager), Krishna Kumar Mishra, Vinay Agrawal, Vikas Mule, Atul Kamanwar, Kishore Nagpure, and Shehnawaz Ahmed.
