The wait is over. The much-anticipated trailer of Alpha, the first female-led spy film from YRF’s expanding Spy Universe, was unveiled on Wednesday, offering a glimpse into a high-stakes action spectacle headlined by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
The film stars Alia as Alpha, a highly trained assassin, while Sharvari plays another formidable operative whose role remains largely under wraps. Positioned as an origin story within the YRF Spy Universe, Alpha promises a blend of action, intrigue and emotion, centred on two fearless women taking on a powerful enemy.
Alpha Trailer Out
The trailer sheds more light on Bobby Deol’s character, who appears to be Alpha’s ruthless mentor-turned-adversary. Raised and trained to kill, Alpha finds herself locked in a deadly battle against the very man who shaped her into a lethal weapon.
The trailer opens with Alpha narrating the story of a villain who thrives on deception, before revealing Bobby Deol as the central antagonist. It then teases an initial confrontation between Alia and Sharvari’s characters before the two join forces in a mission to stop the villain.
Packed with stylish action sequences, globe-trotting visuals and intense combat scenes, the trailer positions Alpha as a full-fledged action entertainer. While Alia takes centre stage, Sharvari’s character appears equally crucial to the narrative, with the makers deliberately keeping much of her storyline under wraps.
Adding to the intrigue, the trailer concludes with a tease of a familiar spy from the YRF Spy Universe potentially joining forces with the duo in their fight against evil.
The visuals are complemented by a pulsating background score, featuring global DJ HUGEL’s chart-topping track Jamaican Bam Bam, which injects energy and momentum into the action-packed preview.
