A shocking murder over a mere Rs 10 tea payment has rocked Nagpur, with a man being fatally stabbed following a heated argument at a tea stall in the city’s Kapil Nagar area. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon near Sahare Petrol Pump, creating panic among local residents.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Manoj Vishwanath Yadav, a driver of a vehicle used for transporting decoration materials. Preliminary investigations revealed that Manoj got into an argument with Kailash Ganveer, who runs a paan shop and also sells tea, over the payment of Rs 10 for a cup of tea.
The verbal altercation quickly escalated into violence when the accused allegedly pulled out a knife and attacked Manoj, slashing his throat. Manoj sustained critical injuries and died on the spot before he could receive medical assistance.
Kapil Nagar Police rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident. The body was sent for post-mortem, and the accused was swiftly taken into custody. A case of murder has been registered, and further investigation is underway. Police officials are also probing whether the attack was solely triggered by the Rs 10 dispute or if any previous personal enmity played a role in the killing.
The incident has once again highlighted how trivial arguments can spiral into deadly acts of violence.
