Kids have chosen their favourites at Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2019

Continuing the legacy of being the only empowering award show for kids in India for 4 successful years, Nickelodeon India hosted the 5th edition of the Kids Choice Awards 2019. In an evening replete with slime and magical performances, the Bollywood extravaganza took place in Mumbai and saw the best of showbiz across film, television, mobile gaming and sports take home the coveted Nickelodeon blimp. The Awards will premiere on Nickelodeon on 05th January at 8 pm followed by Sonic, Nick Jr. and Nick HD+.

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards is India’s only award show by the kids, for the kids and of the kids which recognizes and celebrates the best in the world of entertainment across film, television, mobile gaming, sports etc. Breaking last year’s record, this year saw close to 5 lakh votes from the kids, making it a perfect representation of kids and their choices.

The one-of-a-kind extravaganza all set to be televised on 5th January, 2020, witnessed the biggest Bollywood heartthrobs such as Sara Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon, Siddharth Chaturvedi, Darshan Rawal and many more attending the landmark kids’ event. While Varun Dhawan danced on the melodies of famous bollywood songs, Sara Ali Khan and Bhumi Pednekar rocked the stage with their breathtaking performances. Varun Sharma created a laughter riot with his wit as the anchor. The Nicktoons added the extra fun quotient as they created some outstanding moments with fun performances along with the B-Town Superstars. The star-studded evening saw Salman Khan walk away with the Favorite Actor (Male) award. Shraddha Kapoor won the coveted Favorite Actor (Female) award. Chhichhore won in the Favorite Film category, whereas Sara Ali Khan took home the Best Rising Star award. Ayushmann Khurrana was voted as the Pathbreaking star of the year and  Motu won the Favorite Indian Cartoon Character of the year award.

Last but not the least, the night also saw epic slime mania, as a part of Nickelodeon’s coveted tradition, where the celebrities got drenched in the Nickelodeon’s signature green slime.KCA will not only take over the Nickelodeon franchise but will also be telecasted on Colors, Rishtey, Colors Gujarati, Colors Bangla, Colors Oriya and Viacom18’s leading Video on Demand platform VOOT.
