Nagpur Municipal Corporation along with Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation (SSCDC) dedicated ‘Smart Parking’ to the citizens. The smart parking is developed at Central Bazar Road, Ramdaspeth near Hotel Tuli Imperial. Stopped due to the pandemic, the parking was dedicated to the public by the initiative of Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari.
Mayor said, “As the city is becoming smart city, smart parking was the need of the hours for the citizens. They can take benefit of the smart parking and be free from illegal parking anywhere.â€
Radhakrishnan B, Commissioner NMC, Bhuwaneshwari S, CEO Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation, Jalaj Sharma, Additional Commissioner NMC, Sarang Awhad, Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic) extended their support for the four wheeler smart parking.
The parking will be operating by computer digitally, which will be working on e-governance. Dr Sheela Ghule, General Manager SSCDC has developed the digital e-governance system for the parking. The management of the parking will be looked by Shreekant Deshpande, NMC Traffic Engineer, and the parking will be run by Shraddheya Atal Bihari Bajpai City Operation Center. Electronic gadget are used in the smart parking which include digital camera, boom barrier, electronic sensors etc and facility of online payment is available for the four wheeler owner. By digital display screen driver of the four wheeler will be able to trace parking space for his vehicle. Maintenance and operation contract of the parking is given M/s Ashpak Ali Ramzan Ali, while technical support will be of SSCDC.
