For not following the Covid-19 restrictions, a fine of Rs 50,000 was imposed on a marriage party. As per information, Nuisance Detection Squad (NDS) checked the party organised by Harban Singh Samundre at Sudarshan Nagar, in Lalganj area and noticed that nearly 100 plus persons were in attendance. Majority of the guests were not wearing masks not maintaining social distance and the celebrations continued post-midnight.
As NDS team reached the spot they tried to argue but civic officials remained firm and slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 for violation of norms. Similarly, NDS team continued with its crackdown on violators and imposed and recovered fine of Rs 2.50 lakh on Thursday. They checked 26 shops/establishments and found violations at majority of places. Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s nuisance investigation team took action against 26 shops / establishments on Thursday (May 6) and recovered Rs. A fine of Rs 250,000 was recovered. The fine was imposed on Prakash Dairy, Baba Farid Nagar, Zingabai Takli; and Super Diamond Saloon, Sharda Chowk, Anant Nagar.
