Services have started between Sitabuldi Interchange and Kasturchand Park stations via Zero Mile Freedom Park stations. This is the most important stretch of Nagpur Metro operational so far. Metro services are available between 7.30 am and 8.30 pm from Kasturchand Park station.
The Zero Mile Freedom Park station is located in Civil Lines, which houses a number of government, semi-government and private offices. People living in other parts of the city should use the Nagpur Metro to travel to Zero Mile station and then take feeder vehicles to reach their workplaces.
Kasturchand Park station is located to close to both Civil Lines and Sadar. People can reach Civil Lines by using this metro station. Sadar is the one of the most important commercial areas in the city. Large number of shops, malls, cinemas, offices, restaurants and hotels are located in this area. People can easily reach Sadar from Kasturchand Park station.
The Sitabuldi-Kasturchand Park stretch of Nagpur Metro is the most iconic one. It passes near the historic buildings of Nagpur – Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Vidhan Bhavan, Zero Mile monument, etc.
Maha Metro has developed a public park named Freedom Park for Nagpurians. It has a large number of attractions including a T-55 tank gifted by Indian Army to Maha Metro, a History Wall that contains information about the history of the city, an amphitheatre, etc.
