The administration has decided to achieve development of one ideal school from a district in Nagpur division and to undertake repairs and beautification of Hutatma Smarak to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava.
This was stated by Dr Madhvi Khode-Chawre, Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur, while addressing a review meeting held here on Friday. She asked the concerned officials to select the schools, nature of work and expected expenditure on the activities and submit the report. Similarly, the work of repairs and beautification of Hutatma Smarak should be completed by August 8 as programme on Swarajya Mahotsava is to be held from August 9 to 15.
She also asked the officers to display logo of Swatantryacha Amrut Mahotsava on government buildings and conduct camps for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and transgenders to give them benefit of the government schemes.
Moreover, they should plan for Swarajya Mahotsava district-wise, create public awareness for ‘Har Ghar Zenda’ venture and create road museums. The officers should make efforts for making funds available through District Annual Plan for implementation of programmes during mahotsava, Dr Khode-Chawre pointed out.
She also instructed officials to make efforts for increasing public participation in the mahotsava programmes.
R Vimla, District Collector, Yogesh Kumbhejkar, Chief Executive Officer, Nagpur ZP, and officials from Nagpur division gave information about the programme taken up during Swatantryacha Amrut Mahotsava. Prerna Deshbhratar, Collector of Wardha, And Sanjay Meena, Collector of Gadchiroli, participated in the meeting virtually.
Asha Pathan, Vivek Ilame, Deputy Commissioners, Hemraj Bagul, Director, Information & PR, Avinash Kolhe, Avinash Kolhe, Addl Commissioner, Ravindra Bhelawe, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Chetna Tidke, Deputy Commissioner of Police and others attended the meet.
