·     Akola records highest temp 44.1 in Vid
Nagpur recorded maximum day temperature at 41.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday as against yesterday’s 43.4 degrees C. Though the temperature was comparatively low the citizens faced humidity and became uneasy for the whole day.
Akola registered highest temperature at 44.1 degrees C today in Vidarbha, followed by Amravati where the temperature was 43.2 degrees C. Otherwise the temperature at other places was between 40.4 degrees C and 42.8 degrees C. Buldana was the lowest in temperature at 40.4 degrees C.
Following are the temperature figures in C at different places in the region on Wednesday: Brahmapuri, Wardha – 42.8, Washim – 42.5, Chandrapur – 42.4, Gondia – 42.0, Gadchiroli – 41.4 and Yavatmal – 41.0.
As per forecast issued by Indian Meteorological Department, thunderstorm and heat wave very likely to occur at isolated places in Vidarbha from May 19 to 21, including, Akola, Chandrapur and Wardha districts.
