Team India pacer Umesh Yadav, Vidarbha’s star batter Jitesh Sharma, who shot to limelight in the previous edition of IPL with their fin- ishing skills, have been re- tained by their respective teams for the upcoming edition of the Indian Pre- mier League 2023 (IPL 2023).
Jitesh played for Punjab Kings while Umesh was the part of Kolkata Knight Riders. They both played a crucial role for their respec- tive teams in the IPL 2022. The other two Vidarbha players who featured in the IPL 2022-Darshan Nalkande of Gujarat Titans and opener Atharva Taide of Punjab Kings, were also retained.
