Dr. Parate further added, “The 50-year-old patient had an angioplasty 3 years back and somehow skipped his 2 blood thinner tablets. After stabilizing the patient, we handed him over to the airport staff. Indigo Airlines were very well equipped with the medical emergency medical kit. The staff was very helpful and handled the situation very calmly.”

Dr. Priyanka Deshmukh Parate

“I feel the heart patients should not skip their medications at all. Especially patients suffering from blood pressure, diabetes, and hypertension. It is their due responsibility to have their medications as and when prescribed. They should take extra care of themselves”, Dr. Parate added.
