On Thursday morning, the tourists at Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) spotted an adult tiger ‘Chota Matka’ at the Navegaon buffer zone core.
Chota Matka is currently ruling the Navegaon buffer zone. Chota Matka is the son of the two iconic tigers : Choti Tara and Madkasur. Chota Matka is 6-7 years old now.
Chota Matka has fathered many cubs at the Tiger Reserve and currently has many females under his territory.
Deep Kathikar, a wildlife enthusiast, told The Live Nagpur that “the most peculiar sign of identifying Chota Matka is broken upper right lip. His teeth are visible even when his mouth is closed.”
