To mark International Tiger Day, the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) will organise the Maharashtra State Wildlife Photography Competition 2026, inviting amateur and professional photographers from across the country to showcase the richness of the state’s wildlife and natural ecosystems.
The competition aims to create a high-quality visual archive that celebrates biodiversity while promoting wildlife conservation through the lens of photography. Forest officials said wildlife photography plays a vital role in documenting natural habitats, raising awareness and inspiring people to connect with nature.
Participants may submit up to six photographs across three categories — Animal Behaviour, Animals in Their Habitat and Conservation Focus.
Entries must be emailed to [email protected] by July 20. Detailed competition guidelines, eligibility criteria and technical specifications are available on the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve’s official website.
