McLaren Automotive, the renowned British luxury supercar manufacturer, has launched its first-ever series-production High-Performance Hybrid (HPH) supercar, the McLaren Artura, in India. Priced at Rs 5.1 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Artura boasts impressive performance capabilities. With a top speed of 330 km/h, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and reach 0 to 200 km/h in 8.3 seconds.
The Artura is equipped with a full Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) system, allowing it to charge up to 80% in just 2.5 hours. The car’s battery pack can also harness power from the combustion engine while driving, offering a unique feature where the driver can enjoy a silent, pure EV mode with a range of up to 31 km and a top speed of 130 km/h.
The supercar offers four powertrain modes to cater to different driving requirements: E-mode, Comfort, Sport, and Track. Its twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine, combined with an E-motor and energy-dense battery pack, produces an impressive 680 PS (671 bhp) and 720 Nm (530 lb-ft) of torque.

With a redesigned platform and various weight-reduction measures, the Artura achieves a class-leading dry weight of 1,395 kg and a best-in-class kerb weight of 1,498 kg. McLaren cars are meticulously designed at the McLaren Technology Centre in England and hand-built at the adjacent McLaren Production Centre.
The introduction of the McLaren Artura brings a blend of performance, efficiency, and advanced technology to Indian supercar enthusiasts, further enhancing McLaren’s impact in the country’s automotive market.
