Central Railway remains committed to ensuring a safe, efficient, and passenger-friendly travel experience. As part of this commitment, a special Awareness Drive is being launched from 1st August to 14th August to promote RailMadad—Indian Railways’ integrated grievance redressal mechanism—and the All India Helpline Number 139.
RailMadad is a centralized digital platform that facilitates real-time registration and redressal of passenger grievances related to train services, cleanliness, catering, coach conditions, and other amenities. Passengers can lodge complaints through various channels: Call or SMS to 139, the RailMadad mobile app, official website, email, and social media platforms. Among these, Helpline 139 has emerged as the most preferred and user-friendly option.
The objective of this drive is to spread awareness among rail users regarding the ease, accessibility, and responsiveness of the RailMadad system. Informational materials, public announcements, and direct passenger outreach will be undertaken across key stations and onboard trains to educate passengers on the benefits of using the platform.
Passengers are encouraged to actively utilize RailMadad and Helpline 139 to voice their concerns, provide feedback, and play a vital role in helping Indian Railways improve service quality and passenger satisfaction.
