To enhance cyber security and protect customer data privacy, MSEDCL has made it mandatory for low-tension electricity customers to log in to download the PDF version of their electricity bill from the official website. This change has been implemented in line with the cyber security guidelines from the central government.
The facility to download the current month’s electricity bill in PDF format is available on the ‘View/Pay Bill’ page of MSEDCL’s official website, www.mahadiscom.in, for domestic, commercial, industrial, and other low-tension customers. Previously, customers could download their bill by simply entering their 12-digit consumer number.
With the new update, customers can still pay their bills online without logging in. However, logging in is now mandatory to download the PDF bill. The login link is also available on the ‘View/Pay Bill’ page. Customers who have not yet registered for a login must do so by providing their consumer number, mobile number, and email address (if available), and then create a login ID and password. The link for this registration is also provided on the same page.
After logging in, customers can access various online services for multiple electricity connections under their name. This includes the ability to access these services without having to remember the 12-digit consumer number. The services available include changing the name or load on the bill, lodging complaints, checking complaint status, making bill payments, changing addresses, and more.
