In a collaborative effort to strengthen community well-being and address hunger, Swiggy, Haldiram’s and the Robin Hood Army (RHA) joined hands to add more to the festivities this year. They collaborated and delivered 2 lakh beverage packages across Nagpur, Indore, and Raipur. As a part of this initiative, Haldiram’s beverages, Matka Jhatka Chaas and Mango Lassi were distributed to the underserved communities across Nagpur, Indore and Raipur, reinforcing the shared commitment of the brands’ to drive social impact through food.
The collaboration builds on the collective vision of ensuring that nutritious and widely loved beverages reach those in need. This campaign was a part of Swiggy Serves, which was launched in January 2025 and is Swiggy’s flagship community impact initiative designed to minimize food waste and address hunger in underserved regions. By partnering with organizations such as the Robin Hood Army, the program enables surplus food from Swiggy’s restaurant partners to be redirected to those in need. Since its inception, the initiative has redistributed over 20,000 meals across 170 cities, with nearly 500 restaurant partners onboarded.
For Haldiram’s, this initiative reflects its long-standing belief that food is not only nourishment but a medium to connect and uplift communities. The brand, known for its rich legacy and authentic taste, continues to uphold the values of sharing and belonging through such meaningful partnerships.
The Robin Hood Army, a volunteer-driven, zero-funds organization, has been instrumental in making this initiative possible. With a presence in 13 countries and a network of over 260,000 volunteers, RHA has served more than 153 million meals globally over the past decade. Through its community-led approach, the organization continues to mobilize citizens and partners to eliminate hunger and food waste.
Speaking on the collaboration, Mr. Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace said, “Swiggy Serves was envisioned as a platform that brings together partners who share our mission of creating sustainable, long-term community impact. This initiative, in collaboration with Haldiram’s and the Robin Hood Army is a step in line with the mission, thereby ensuring that good food finds its way to every table, especially those that need it most. We rolled this out in the festive season and it was good to spread happiness amongst the underserved communities. In a way, we felt we celebrated the festive season with them”
Adding to this, Vanshita Agrawal, Director, Haldiram’s said, “At Haldiram’s, we have always believed that food has the power to connect, uplift, and create meaningful change. This partnership allows us to extend our heritage of taste and quality to those who need it most, while staying true to our values of community and care.”
Echoing this sentiment, Saloni Sharma, Partnerships Lead, Robin Hood Army said, “Collaborations like this demonstrate the power of collective goodwill. By combining Haldiram’s commitment to community, Swiggy’s operational scale, and our volunteer network, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of thousands.”
