WIRC of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India in association with Vidarbha Industries Association successfully organized the MSME Conclave on the theme “Cost to Competitiveness”, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, professionals, and MSME stakeholders for a day of knowledge exchange, networking, and growth-focused discussions on 15th November 2025 at Hotel Centre Point, Nagpur.
The Conclave began with an inaugural ceremony graced by distinguished dignitaries, Ajit Kumar Saxena, CMD of MOIL Ltd as Chief Guest; Vice President – ICMAI, Neeraj Joshi as Guest of Honour and Prashanth Mohta, President – VIA as Guest of Honour, Rajat Naidu, Chairman Nagpur Chapter of Cost Accountants welcomed everybody. CMA Manisha Agrawal, Chairperson of MSME & Start-up Promotion Committee, ICMAI-WIRC spoke about the theme of the Conclave.
All the respective office bearers of WIRC , Chairman Mihir Vyas, Secretary of Chaitanya Morrir; Vice Chairman – Nanty Shah and Treasurer Aridham Goswami spoke about MSMEs. Harshad Deshpandey, Central Council Member and Girish Deodhar Chairman of VIA MSME Forum were also present in the session. followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. The keynote address highlighted the crucial role of MSMEs in India’s economic growth and emphasized how cost optimisation, technological adoption, sustainability, and financial literacy are the pillars of competitiveness in the global market.
Throughout the day, the event featured multiple insightful sessions and panel discussions : Financing & Government Policies for MSMEs —Jyoti Prakash Gadia elaborated on credit access, schemes, incentives, and how MSMEs can leverage government initiatives for expansion and stability.
Sustainability & Green Energy —Siddharth Pal showcased how transitioning to energy efficiency and environment-friendly operations is no longer an option but a competitive advantage for modern enterprises.
Cost to Competitiveness — A dedicated session taken by Chaitanya Morrir, examined costing systems, data-driven decision-making, automation, valuation, and risk management as strategic tools for MSME growth.
Industrialists’ Panel Discussion —Vishal Agrawal, CMD of R C Plasto and Anuja Sharma, Director Shamlax Metachem and Laxmi Narayan Kaushik shared ground-level experiences, challenges, and turnaround case studies, giving entrepreneurs practical insights into scaling up, exports, branding, performance measurement, and market resilience. Session was moderated by Rajat Naidu.
Each session witnessed active participation, thought-provoking questions, and enthusiastic interaction from MSME entrepreneurs, cost accountants, consultants, academicians, and business professionals.
The Conclave concluded with a formal valedictory session and Vote of Thanks by Manisha Agrawal, acknowledging the contribution of all speakers, sponsors, collaborators, media partners, and participants. Delegates expressed that the programme was highly informative, relevant, and timely — enabling MSMEs to transform learning into actionable strategy.
With overwhelming response and high engagement, the MSME Conclave marked a significant step toward strengthening MSME ecosystems and fostering collaboration among industry, government, and professionals.
