The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the CA Intermediate Group 2 examination for Paper 5 (Auditing and Ethics). The exam, which was earlier scheduled for January 15, will now be conducted on January 19 from 2 pm to 5 pm, following the announcement of Municipal Corporation elections in Maharashtra.
ICAI clarified that the examination will be held at the same centres in India and abroad, and the admit cards issued on December 18 will remain valid for the revised date. Candidates are not required to download new hall tickets. All other examinations in the CA January session will proceed as per the original schedule. Admit cards can be accessed on the official ICAI website, icai.org.
In an official notification, ICAI stated that the rescheduling applies only to CA Intermediate Group II, Paper 5, due to the elections on January 15, 2026, and that no other exam dates announced earlier have been altered.
