The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will carry out a planned power shutdown on January 21 in the Congress Nagar, Mahal and Butibori divisions for maintenance work.
The shutdown will be in effect between 8 am and 3 pm, though timings will vary across different areas.During this period, MSEDCL teams will shift overhead electric lines underground, carry out routine maintenance of the power network, and trim tree branches that interfere with overhead wires.
In the Congress Nagar Division, power supply will be interrupted from 8 am to 11 am in RTMNU area, Traffic Park, Alankar Talkies area, Ramdaspeth, Kacchipura, Lendra Park and Canal Road. From 8 am to 12 noon, areas including Laxminagar, Gawande Layout, New Sneh Nagar and the stretch from Chhatrapati Square to Orange City Hospital Square will be affected. Between 9 am and 11 am, power cuts will be experienced in Tatya Tope Nagar, Dhangarpura, SE Railway Colony, RBI Quarters, Atre Layout, Surendra Nagar, Shivneri Apartment, Kotwal Nagar, Ganesh Mandir area, Saraswati Vihar, Pathan Layout, Lokhande Nagar, Gajanan Nagar, Dronacharya Nagar and areas around Gayatri Hospital. From 8 am to 12 noon, Sanchayani Complex area, Telecom Nagar, Jeevan Chaya, Ravindra Nagar, Swawlambi Nagar, Friends Colony, Pioneer Society and Swaroop Nagar will also face power outages.
In the Mahal Division, power supply will be suspended from 10 am to 3 pm in Wanjari Nagar, Bhalchandra Apartment, Reliance Tower, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ajni Railway Colony, Vasant Nagar, Bajrang Nagar, Shyam Nagar and Mangalmurti Nandanvan Mahavidyalaya.
Additionally, areas such as Ganesh Nagar, Sharda Square, Mahavir Nagar, Anand Nagar, Bhagat Colony, Juni Shukrawari, Malipura and Telipura will witness power shutdowns between 9 am and 2 pm.
