Students who appeared for the CBSE Class 12 examinations and are dissatisfied with their scores or have been placed in the compartment category can avail themselves of several options provided by the board, according to the result notification issued on Wednesday.
Students placed in the compartment category will be eligible to appear for the supplementary examination scheduled for July 15, which will be conducted in a single day. The facility will be available to three categories of candidates — students who passed Class 12 in 2026 but wish to improve their score in one subject, students who appeared in 2026 and were placed in compartment, and candidates from 2025 who were also placed in compartment. For the 2025 batch, this will be the final chance to clear the compartment as CBSE permits only three attempts.
Schools and students intending to apply for the supplementary examination can submit the online List of Candidates (LOC) from June 2 onwards. The board clarified that no changes, including addition or removal of names or subjects, will be allowed once the LOC is submitted. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Meanwhile, students seeking verification of marks or re-evaluation can apply through online facilities that will open from April 18. CBSE said a separate detailed circular regarding the schedule and process will be issued shortly. Students have been advised to adhere strictly to the prescribed timeline, as no requests will be entertained after the final date.
