Beneficiaries of the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Anudan Yojana and the Shravan Bal Seva State Pension Scheme can now submit their Life Certificates online through the Beneficiary Satyapan App launched by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance.
The new facility is expected to bring major relief to elderly citizens, widows, destitute persons and persons with disabilities by eliminating repeated visits to tehsil offices, banks and post offices. Beneficiaries can complete the verification process on their own, with assistance from family members, or through village-level officials including Gram Revenue Officers, Gram Panchayats and computer operators.
The service is also available at Setu Seva Kendras, Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendras and Nagari Seva Kendras. While the facility is free for beneficiaries using the mobile application directly, a service charge of Rs 50 will apply if the process is completed through Setu or Nagari Seva Kendras.
Users must download the Beneficiary Satyapan App and Aadhaar Face RD app from the Google Play Store. Registration can be completed using the Aadhaar number and mobile number, after which beneficiaries need to select the relevant scheme and proceed with verification through OTP authentication followed by Face Capture or Finger/IRIS authentication.
Once the verification process is completed, the Digital Life Certificate can be downloaded instantly. The district administration has appealed to all eligible beneficiaries to make use of the facility for a hassle-free and convenient verification process.
