Nagpur’s dining scene is about to take a new turn as TOQUO launches Around Asia in 10 Cocktails alongside The Omakase Food Journey, an immersive cocktail and food pairing experience designed to take guests across Asia, one city and one pairing at a time.
Curated by Chef Sachin Lepcha and mixologist Thejas Ganiga, the multi-course experience explores the flavours, ingredients, and drinking cultures of different Asian destinations through a structured omakase-style format. The idea is simple: bring together the stories, moods, and culinary identities of Asia in a way that feels elevated, interactive, and completely new for Nagpur’s evolving dining audience.
“The food and bar culture in cities like Nagpur is evolving very quickly today. People are far more curious, well-travelled, and open to trying experiences that go beyond conventional dining. With TOQUO, our vision has always been to continuously introduce formats that feel new, immersive, and globally inspired while still being approachable for the city. Around Asia in 10 Cocktails and The Omakase Food Journey is exactly that, an experience designed to bring together storytelling, cocktails, food, and culture in a way Nagpur hasn’t really seen before,” says Yash Dubey, Founder and CEO, Toquo Nagpur
The omakase-style journey unfolds course by course, with every stop inspired by a different Asian city and its distinct flavour identity. In Tokyo, the experience opens on a bright and delicate note with Neon Sakura, a cocktail built with vodka, sake, yuzu, white peach, and cherry blossom mist, paired alongside tuna crispy rice, setting the tone with clean flavours and subtle texture.
Bangkok brings a louder, street-style energy through Golden Tuk Tuk, a tamarind tequila cocktail layered with Thai basil, chilli honey, and lemongrass foam, paired with a basil chicken bite that balances sweetness, spice, and heat.
Seoul introduces one of the menu’s more unexpected pairings with Black Velvet Seoul, a smoky gin cocktail infused with black garlic pickle, sesame, rice wine, and charcoal salt , served alongside a smoky lamb skewer designed to mirror its deeper umami notes.
The journey continues through destinations like Shanghai, Hong Kong, Kyoto, Mumbai, Macau, Singapore, and Bali, with every pairing exploring different textures, aromas, spices, and drinking traditions from across the continent. From cognac and oolong-inspired serves to coconut fat-washed tequila, kokum-forward coastal cocktails, matcha whisky combinations, and dessert-style nightcaps
layered with sesame and condensed milk foam, the experience moves fluidly between playful, refined, bold, and comforting.
Alongside the cocktail experience, the Omakase food menu has been designed to complement the progression of flavours through a series of Asian-inspired small plates and mains. The experience includes dishes like Chicken Gyoza with chilli oil, Katsu Chicken Open Baos, Prawn Tempura, Sichuan Chicken, Thai curry preparations, Mushroom baos, Yasai Tempura, Sushi courses, wok-tossed dishes, and dessert finales.
Every pairing within the experience has been designed to feel connected, not just through flavour, but through mood, memory, and storytelling, allowing guests to move across Asia one course, one cocktail, and one city at a time.
Since opening its doors in 2024, TOQUO has quietly carved a space of its own within the city’s growing hospitality landscape. Positioned as a modern Asian restaurant bar, the space brings together a chef-led kitchen and a craft cocktail-forward experience. The menu draws inspiration from Asian flavours without being restricted to one cuisine, blending technique, storytelling, and bold ingredients in a way that feels contemporary yet approachable. At its core, TOQUO has always focused on creating experiences that feel exciting, thoughtful, and slightly unexpected and Around Asia in 10 Cocktails continues that direction.
